0.20.0
- Behavior changed
In Unicode mode, \xHH escapes above 0x7F match the Unicode codepoint encoded as UTF-8 rather than a raw byte, so patterns such as \xFF now match ÿ. Bytes modes are unchanged. github.com - Behavior changed
delegate_dfa_size_limit
The option now limits the lazy DFA cache capacity instead of the fully compiled DFA size limit, so limits tuned under the old meaning may behave differently. github.com - Behavior changed
Regex.capture_names
capture_names now reports the name for every group declared with the same name, and named backreferences resolve to the last group with that name. Code that assumed one group per name may see different results. github.com
Check your code
These are the changes. To see which of them reach your code, scan a public repository, or have your coding agent call check_code with your manifest or lockfile over MCP. The API reads every change in every version, not only the newest. On Team and up, a fix pull request opens for the changes that reach a connected repository. Nothing merges or deploys.

Put your code on continuous management.
Scan a public repository now, or give your agent one line.
See how out of date your code is.
Tell your agent what changed since it was trained.
